My ex husband wasn’t paying the payment. I keep the house I tried to work with the lender on a payment agreement they would not . Shortly after refinancing my home last year I neglected all of my financial responsibilities and was ultimately diagnosed with Clinical Depression. During this time, I was served with a notice of default and began communicating with the lender. During this time period I had also fallen behind with all of the household obligations. My wife and I found and purchased our first home the end of November. I had officially discharged from the army in October and started my first civilian job working for Comcast as a contractor that same month. They had promised a particular wage would be made every week and we were approved for a loan because of that particular figure (also including my wife’s wages as well). We also received documents from their mediator a law firm informing us of the situation as well as their role in the process. Since receiving this information I now have a job where I am able to pay my mortgage and after calling Citimortgage and trying to make a payment received the runaround with their staff on the phones. I have also attempted to call the law firm and have on more than one occasion received their voice mail and have left numerous messages. Within the last week I have finally contacted a representative from Citimortgage to help us (who was not the original person they stated was our rep) and they are currently waiting for information from the law firm. The past 4+ months have been a giant game of phone tag and run around. My wife and I are at our wits end with what to do and now we are fastly approaching our foreclosure date. At this point we just need someone to help us because obviously we aren’t getting ahold of the right people and fear that our house is going to be taken right from under us. It’s astonishing how many listings have blurry photographs, unattractive pictures, or little or nodescription. Make sure that your MLS listings are interesting and really chart the benefits and the charms of the house. Make sure that the pictures are crisp and disclose the best possible colors and angles. Use Photoshop on your pictures to delete any junk from the front of the home, any fallen leaves, or any gray skies that happened to be there when you are taking your photo.
If you’re hosting an open house, use arrow signs on a main street. If your investment property is a little out of the way, you’ll have to employ dozens of signs in order to lead people from the nearest main road all the way to the open house. Consider tying balloons to the sign on the road, or use bright colors or large font to make sure that drivers see your sign.
Every hardware store retail pre-made signs that allow you to only write in a phone number. Shun using these signs. They look cheap and sloppy. Instead, have your signs professionally made, and make sure that you get a solid metal framed sign that comes with a flyer holder.
