My husband and I purchased the home 8 yrs ago on a five yr. mortgage plan. We separated and i have tried to keep the house. We refinanced on a 3 yr. plan and then divorced this past year. I filed bankruptcy and reaffirmed the mortgage. The mortgage expired and my plan was to refinance in my name only. Timing has been an issue for me because my sister in law was living with me and she died of breast cancer a few weeks back. Trying to settle all of her stuff and take care of this has been an issue for me. And now time has gotten away from me. Because I have reaffirmed the loan, I will have to pay for the house anyway. I realize that the sale is tomorrow and I am not sure there is anything that can be done – but I really need your help. I fell behind due to being the primary caregiver of my sister-in-law during her illness. Her medications and care were very taxing. Her daughter is now living with me. I have access to money granted to me in our divorce from my husbands 401k. I want to keep my house and get my life back together. help stop foreclosure
my bank is unwilling to help find any other possible solutions-other than foreclosure. I had tried to keep the mortgage current, but they either refused my payments, or mailed the payments back to me-they said that I owed almost $1,300.00 in attorney’s fees, and that is what they are forclosing on. I went through a divorce in which I went from living with a $60,000+ annual income to living with an annual income well below the poverty level, then lost my job shortly after the divorce. Since then, I’ve been working and putting myself through school and plan to graduate with my registered nurse’s degree in the spring. I’ve been able to pay on my mortgage for almost a year now, but because I didn’t have $1,300 to pay off the attorney’s fees, my bank has decided to call in the total loan amount plus all attorney’s fees to date. The property is involved in a divorce case. I was a roomate with the couple and am on the loan with the ex-husband. He has refused to pay the mortgage and any spousal support. So I ended up paying to try to keep my credit good. But a 60 day late happened while in court, and 2 30 day lates – last October and January. I was laid off from work in September and just recently got a Security Guard job. The lender (1st) just tacked on the taxes to the payments (was 3773, now 5468). The 2nd is 780. So now the monthly is about 6200! I had to take out all my retirement, sell two cars and borrow money to try to make the payment. Now I can’t at all. May is due and June on the 1st. The ex-wife and I are on title. The ex-husband was in jail for a while, he is not on title but still on the loan. The divorce can’t be finalized unitl the house is refied or sold. She despartely wants to keep it. Please help stop foreclosure
I am in the middle of a bitter divorce. Ex Husband was court ordered to pay the mortgage but for the last 3 months has refused to do so. I called the mortgage company and explained the situation but in March, I will receive a letter stating the deadline for payment before foreclosure begins. It is my hope to sell the home as both myself and my ex-husband have agreed, so the loan may be paid off. The loan amount is $92000. The situation has not changed and my job does not pay enough to make the mortgage payments. The loan is held by Citi Mortgage. Help stop Citi Mortgage foreclosure
